About Rosalind Miller Cakes - London Wedding Cakes

Rosalind Miller Cakes was founded when Rosalind, a lecturer in Design at the Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design applied her artistic skills to cake design.

Rosalind’s path to making cakes began when she chanced upon her mother’s old notebooks from her cake decorating classes. After returning from a trip to New York and visiting the famous Magnolia Bakery, she saw an opportunity for decorating cupcakes with elaborate sugar flowers and decorations, and put this to the test, setting up a stall in Greenwich Market. The cupcakes proved to be a huge hit, and it wasn’t long before the business grew and Rosalind began making beautiful and elaborately decorated wedding cakes.

Having studied art, textiles and design for many years, she has always had a design-led approach to cake decorating, with the aim to carve her own path in the industry. She approaches each cake design as an individual piece of art, and her background as an artist and designer shines through in all of her creations.

In 2013 Rosalind was joined by her daughter Yasmine who now runs the company with her. From their studio in London they have embarked on projects that have taken them to some very special destinations; from the Food Halls of Harrods where their wedding cakes, celebration cakes and cupcakes are sold, to the Middle East where they have created magical dessert tables and wedding cakes for royal weddings.

Rosalind’s cakes have earned a reputation for not only being utterly unique, but also continually at the forefront of wedding trends, and her unparalleled wedding cake designs have won her the title of ‘Best Wedding Cake Designer’ at The Wedding Industry Awards in 2012 and 2013 (for which she is now a judge in the same category).
