Cake Flavour Menu

All our cakes are made using organic milk, eggs and butter, and the finest ingredients from handmade salted caramel, to Provence lavender and Sicilian lemon curd.

Our filled wedding and celebration cakes have four layers of our moist and fluffy sponge filled with 3 layers of filling per tier. We fill our cakes with a silky smooth swiss meringue buttercream and a variety of delicious curds, jams or caramel.


Cake Flavours

Vanilla – Mauritian vanilla sponge with vanilla Swiss meringue buttercream and English raspberry conserve

Sicilian Lemon – zesty lemon sponge with a lemon Swiss meringue buttercream and Sicilian lemon curd

Raspberry & Vanilla – fresh raspberry and Mauritian vanilla sponge with raspberry Swiss meringue buttercream

Belgian Chocolate – rich Belgian chocolate sponge with Belgian chocolate Swiss meringue buttercream

Salted Caramel – indulgent caramel sponge filled with salted caramel Swiss meringue buttercream and a layer of salted caramel

Pink Champagne  Pink champagne sponge with Pink champagne Swiss meringue buttercream

Saffron, Cardamom, Rose & Pistachio – saffron and cardamom sponge with rose Swiss meringue buttercream and toasted pistachio pieces

Lavender – subtly aromatic Provence lavender sponge with a Mauritian vanilla Swiss meringue buttercream

Rose – delicate rose sponge with rose infused Swiss meringue buttercream

Elderflower  floral English elderflower sponge with elderflower infused Swiss meringue buttercream

Rhubarb  English rhubarb sponge with English rhubarb Swiss meringue buttercream (seasonal)

Red Velvet red velvet sponge with Mauritian vanilla Swiss meringue buttercream

Lemon & Elderflower – lemon and elderflower sponge filled with elderflower Swiss meringue buttercream

Banana & Caramel  banana sponge with caramel Swiss meringue buttercream

Carrot, Ginger & Walnut – carrot, ginger & walnut sponge with Mauritian vanilla Swiss meringue buttercream

Cognac-soaked Rich Fruit Cake (requires 6 weeks notice)


Cake Finish

Our tiered and single tier cakes are covered in fondant icing or buttercream.

Fondant iced cakes are covered with a thin undercoat of Belgian chocolate ganache (or marzipan for fruit cake). This provides the foundation for a smooth and flawless finish and keeps the cakes moist.


Cupcakes

Cupcakes can be iced with a buttercream icing or with a smooth fondant dome.

Chocolate – chocolate sponge with chocolate buttercream 

Vanilla – Mauritian vanilla sponge with Mauritian vanilla buttercream

Lemon – lemon sponge with lemon buttercream

Raspberry & Vanilla – fresh raspberry and vanilla sponge with fresh raspberry and vanilla buttercream 

Elderflower – elderflower sponge with elderflower buttercream

Rhubarb – English rhubarb sponge with English rhubarb buttercream

Rose – rose sponge with rose buttercream

Nb. fondant cupcake can be made with any flavour sponge but do not have a flavoured buttercream.
